This list was devised to help educators know which spelling words should be taught to children. The list contains 850 words that account for 80 percent of the words children use in their writing — the ones they need to be able to spell correctly. Mastering this relatively small corpus of words yields a high rate of return. For example, the most common 1,000 words are used 13 times more frequently than the next most common 1,000 words. It also provides teachers flexibility in planning spelling instruction, providing an opportunity to give children the "basics" while supplementing with other spelling words germane to classroom activities. Grade level for each word was determined based upon difficulty, pattern of occurrence in children's writing across grades, and grade placement on current vocabulary lists and spelling materials. Words that children have difficulty spelling correctly are marked with an asterisk.

《Grammarly》《批改網》則更偏向簡單的語法修改，如介詞誤用，名詞單複數錯誤等。
造成差距的原因很簡單，《網易有道詞典》本身的糾錯模塊就採用了「拚寫糾錯 + 語法糾錯」方法，前者大多產品都能實現，而後者則需要用到 Transformer 架構等複雜核心技術，通過建立複雜模型實現針對不同場景進行性能調優。
再考慮到另外幾款產品形態均為網頁，作為移動應用的《網易有道詞典》或許還能在便捷性上再加點分。
以下為「手動輸入」環節最終評比結果。
拍照識別作文並批改
對於絕大多數學生來說，寫作通常都在紙上完成。
因此，支援拍照並對手寫字體識別批改，在特定情況下已經屬於「剛需」。
App 形態的優勢在這個時候就充分體現了，《Grammarly》《批改網》均不支援「拍照批改」，同為網頁版的《微軟愛寫作》則採用了「上傳圖片」再識別的方式，僅有《網易有道詞典》和《小猿搜題》能夠直接拍照識別。
識別手寫體，主要考驗 OCR 技術。
還是同樣的「14 處錯作文」，我們將其謄抄到了本子上，其中有寫錯划去的，也有加粗塗黑的。
使用《網易有道詞典》拍照識別，速度快，且識別後不做任何修改的情況下，正確率也高。
很有意思的一點是，《網易有道詞典》對於標點的識別相當執著，但凡逗號後沒有加空格，或者句號後的單詞首字母沒有大寫，就會被溫馨建議，督促你規範書寫。
對比用《小猿搜題》拍照識別，錯誤率較高，漏算標點更是常見，批改效果也不佳，包括那句「Now I write to…」等多處錯誤均未指出。
而作文內結尾段微微斜著手寫上去的部分，《小猿搜題》識別後語序完全混亂。
《微軟愛寫作》的操作比較複雜，需要用手機相機拍照，將圖片發送到 PC 上，再上傳到網頁內，這個操作就已經不太屬於「拍照識別」範疇了。
因此在這一環節中，《網易有道詞典》稱得上是一枝獨秀了。
需要補充說明的是，以上都是依照直接掃瞄的結果來比較 OCR 識別效果，實際上三款工具都準備了識別後手動修改調整的步驟，支援自己先行修正再做批改。
總結
通過上述實驗可以感受到，這個基於《網易有道詞典》神經網絡機器翻譯推出的新功能，甫一亮相，其專業程度在國內產品中已屬佼佼，可能比雅思托福老師還更「面面俱到」。
科學數據也證實了這一點。
《網易有道詞典》的 AI 作業批改功能與同類產品相比，精確率、召回率都處於領先。
最後，我們也對參與橫評的 5 款產品進行了綜合整理，便於更直觀地瞭解各自特性。
順便一說，目前《網易有道詞典》中的「AI 作業批改」功能以小程式形態存在，或許可以期待之後有更廣闊的應用場景。

These work really well if you have a visual mind.
Write the subject in the middle of the page (for example, 'food') and draw lines coming out from it, like a spider.
At the end of each line, write a word connected to the subject (for example, 'fruit').
You can draw more lines from these words, leading to words that are connected to them, so in this case this you could write 'banana, apple,' etc.
If you add color or pictures to your diagram it can help you remember even better.
Some people add examples of how to use the word in a sentence too.
